2020 Update no. 23 Battle Time

Competitions – Call for Trophies

Those of you who won competitions last year, can you please bring your trophies to the next club night so they can be engraved for the next winners.

Hutt / Karori Battle – Wednesday November 11

When: Wednesday 11 November
Time: Doors open from 7pm, start at 7:30pm

Topic: Battle – a Judge will look at entries from both clubs to battle it out for an overall winning club.

Karori Camera Club are again looking forward to catching up with our good friends from the Hutt Camera Club for an evening of fun, laughter, heckling, groaning, and great images!
Light refreshments and a great competition will be provided!
The carpark tends to fill up rather quickly these days, but there are heaps of parks available on Beauchamp St and the side streets, all within a short walking distance.

2020 AGM and Portfolio Night – Tuesday 24 November

When: Tuesday 24 November
Time: 7:30pm
Location: Hutt Valley Tramping Club, 15 Birch Street, Waterloo
Topic: Our Annual AGM and then Portfolio Judging

Agenda below.  I will send the minutes and accounts via email a week before – please print out to bring along if you wish to, there will be no print-outs on the night.

  1. Receive the President’s report of the club for the year ended 30 September 2020.
    2. Receive the financial report of the club for the year ended 30 September 2020.
    3. Elect Officers and the Management Committee.
    4. Set the subscriptions for the ensuing year.
    5. Appoint an auditor to review the club’s financials for the ensuing year.
    6. Decide on any resolution made to the meeting that falls under section 28.2 of the Constitution.

This generally takes around 10 minutes and then we move onto the assessment of our portfolio entries for 2020.  Please come along to support the entrants and hear what our accessor has to say.

2021 Wellington Interclub print competition

We have been given a date for the 2020 competition – Tuesday 2 March 2021 to be held at the Plimmerton Pavillion – we have chosen all of our images.
Hutt Camera Club are the hosts for the 2021 competition which we plan to host of Tuesday the 12th of October 2021 and we need your help;
Please send in your ideas for topics now to  We hope to send these around the other clubs at the end of the end of this year.
