Covid-19 – Level 4 Alert
As we are all in self isolation there will be no face to face meetings or fieldtrips until we are advised otherwise.
We will look to shift items around on the programme and update you when we have more information.
The website will be continually updated, so if you are looking for information go there in the first instance.
I had fun today making this mish mash photo of images from the news announcements and my cousin wearing a mask.
It’s a good time to think outside the square with your photography and trying things you wouldn’t normally try – don’t forget the comps coming up.
Ladder One Competition Digital images due – March 24
We still plan to run this competition but not include prints. Continue to send your digital entries in up to midnight tomorrow.
We will be looking into ways to share the results with you – maybe via zoom.
Continue to utilise the two facebook groups we have set up to share your images with each other and what you are doing to entertain yourselves.
Photo Editing Night – Date to be determined
You now have more time to look through you catalogue for images you would be interested in seeing processed:
Post an image that is straight out of camera/raw to our new photo critique group on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2776091039135129/ We will be putting up a special album for the night soon.
and also send one to me in as high res as possible: email@example.com
Other members can then upload the image to process it how they would approach editing the image and then re-post back to the group.
Richard Mayston and myself will then choose a few to be viewed and broken down step by step on the night so that we can hopefully all learn some new techniques.
We would prefer that the editing be done in Lightroom or other similar programs and not photoshop to keep it as simple as possible for people who are not used to processing and if you do process and image and re-post it that we might ask you to show your steps to us all
Those of you who are very familiar with processing your images might also like to see how someone else would approach an image!
